What to do when the Kadence installation fails

Sometimes, the import will fail when installing your new Kadence Child Theme. Technology was created by humans after all.

If this happens to you: simply try importing again. If after a couple of tries the issue persists, disable all of your plugins (except for the "Kadence Starter Templates" plugin) and then try the import again. You might need to try to import it a few times to get it to work. You can reactivate your plugins after the demo content has been successfully imported.

BLUEHOST USERS: Import and upload errors are very common if you use Bluehost due to their WordPress memory settings. If you continue to receive errors when importing the demo content/starter template, contact Bluehost support and ask them to "increase your Memory Limit to 512KB and to leave the Post Max Size at 0". After this is done, you will be able to import the theme demo content.

Other hosts:

If disabling plugins and reimporting the demo content a few times doesn't work, please contact your host and ask them to increase your Memory Limit to 512KB and to leave the Post Max Size at 0. After this is done, you should be able to import the theme demo content.

"INTERNAL SERVER ERROR (500)"

If you’re getting a 500 error on your site, you should first contact your host. 500 is a server error. Generally, your host will be able to give insight as to why this error is showing because your server will have error logs that outline the cause of the error. Plus your hosting provider’s support is in the best position to fix this as it will likely require access to your server files.

You will also want to make sure your PHP version is at least 7.4.
